According to many statistics:
1700 -1800 ministers are leaving the ministry each month in the United States.
Over 75% of pastors believe the ministry has negatively affected their families.
Less than 10% feel they were adequately trained to cope with the demands of ministry.
More than 70% of pastors are psychologically unhealthy, and fight depression on a regular basis.
Only 3 out of 10 pastors have a friend they can confide in.
Half of pastors today would leave the ministry if they could support their families doing something else.
Half of ministers starting today will not last 5 years in ministry.
Only 10 % of ministers starting in 2018 will retire from pastoral ministry.
